"mantra"
the sound that soothes, the vibration that transforms

A mantra is a sacred formula,

made up of sounds that carry vibration.

In Sanskrit, the word breaks down into two syllables:
"man," mental activity, thought, and "tra," that which saves, that which liberates.

Each mantra (bija mantra, "seed syllable") carries within it a precise energy. Some are used for healing, others for inner peace, harmony, or connection to the divine.

Through repetition, this vibration is gradually released and acts on every level of our being: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

This is what mantra yoga is:
a practice of conscious repetition that, over time, transforms.

And this is the practice I invite you to experience together.

"The vibration of the mantra eliminates all negative aspects in us,

develops our inner dynamism and peace."

Swami Veetamohananda

mantra yoga
a meditative practice

Mantra yoga is a practice inherited from the Vedantic tradition,

aimed at personal and spiritual transformation.

It differs from Kirtan, a practice oriented toward devotion and collective chanting, sometimes even festive and danced.

Mantra yoga is, rather, an individual, meditative practice.

It can be practiced alone or in a group, sometimes with the help of a mala (a 108-bead necklace) to count the repetitions.
It can be practiced in silence, whispered, or chanted.

But the invitation here is not about the outward sound.

Attention is placed instead on the vibration of the mantra, its resonance in our body, our mind, our being... as well as on the silence that settles between each repetition.

Focused on the repetition of the mantra, the practice calms the mind, elevates consciousness, and lets this vibration act deeply on every level of our being.

No prerequisite is necessary.

A practice lived
before being passed on

I was initiated into mantra practice by Swami Veetamohananda, spiritual master of the Vedantic Center of Gretz

For over 10 years, I have lived this practice daily, and I can testify to its benefits and to the inner richness it unfolds within us.

Today, it is close to my heart to share it, so that everyone can taste the silence of thought, the silent and loving depth within each of us, the peace that has always been at the heart of our being.

It is a sacred journey beyond the mental noise, one that still resonates long after practicing it.

A path of awakening to our deepest nature.

The benefits of the practice
sur tous les plans de l'être

The repetition of the mantra acts on several levels:

  • On the mind: it calms the agitation of thoughts and improves concentration, giving the mind a simple, repetitive point of focus.

  • On the emotions: it releases accumulated tension and fosters a feeling of inner peace and stability.

  • On the body: the vibration of the sound, felt physically, supports the relaxation of the nervous system and a state of deep relaxation.

  • On the energetic level: it harmonizes the circulation of energy (prāṇa) and can be directed toward a specific purpose — healing, protection, opening of the heart.

  • On the spiritual level: it progressively connects our individual consciousness to something greater, fostering a feeling of connection and unity.

With regular practice, this inner harmony extends beyond the session itself: it carries into the way we are, think, and connect with others.

Listen to the album
Mantra Yoga

The "mantra yoga" album is a recording of several mantras and Vedic prayers.
It can be used as a support for personal practice, or simply for listening.

For me, it is also a tender tribute to Swami Veetamohananda, who taught me these mantras.

May they accompany you in your life, as they have accompanied me so far.

I wish you good listening, and a good practice!
With all my love,
Bérénice
